This course, Advanced AstroMapping at Kepler College, brings together predictive techniques, locational astrology, and practical chart interpretation.
I am delighted to announce that I will be teaching a new advanced AstroMapping course at Kepler College, together with Cindy McKean.
AM210 - AstroMapping Advanced Predictive Techniques: Returns, Solar Arcs, & Rectification will begin on July 22, 2026.
This 5-week course is designed for astrologers who already have experience with AstroMapping, AstroCartoGraphy, Locational Astrology, or predictive techniques, and who wish to deepen their ability to work with space, time, and forecasting in a more integrated way.
Why This Course Matters
AstroMapping goes far beyond relocation or finding “good places” on a map. At an advanced level, it becomes a powerful way to observe how planetary symbolism unfolds across geography, timing, and lived experience.
In this course, we will explore how different predictive techniques can be brought into a geographic framework. Our focus will be practical, methodical, and interpretive.
Rather than treating techniques separately, we will ask:
How do planetary returns operate when we examine them geographically?
How can Solar and Lunar Returns be used in AstroMapping?
What is the logic behind arc-based techniques in locational work?
How can these methods support introductory rectification?
How can astrologers synthesize multiple forecasting layers without unnecessary complexity?
What We Will Explore
During the course, participants will work with advanced predictive methods including:
Planetary Returns in AstroMapping
We will examine Solar and Lunar Returns from a locational perspective and consider how return charts can be interpreted through geography.
Solar Arcs and Other Arc-Based Techniques
We will explore the logic of Solar Arc, Lunar Arc, and Mercury Arc techniques and how these can be applied within AstroMapping practice.
Applied Chart Examples
The course will include practical examples, helping participants develop interpretive fluency and confidence.
Introductory Rectification through AstroMapping
We will also look at how AstroMapping can support preliminary rectification work by testing timing, location, and lived experience against the map.
Coordinate Systems and Calculation Models
Because AstroMapping depends on astronomical and mathematical foundations, we will also discuss the role of calculation models, coordinate systems, and methodological choices.
Weekly Topics
The course will unfold over five weeks:
Week 1: Introduction to Predictive Techniques in AstroMapping
Week 2: Planetary Returns in AstroMapping: Solar & Lunar Returns
Week 3: Planetary Returns: Applied Practice
Week 4: Planetary Arcs in AstroMapping
Week 5: Integrating Predictive Techniques & Introduction to Rectification
Who Is This Course For?
This course is suitable for astrologers who already have a foundation in AstroMapping or Locational Astrology and want to move into more advanced predictive work.
Participants should be comfortable with natal chart interpretation and predictive techniques. Successful completion of AM206 AstroMapping: Transits & Progressions, or equivalent experience, is recommended.
This is an advanced course, so it is designed for astrologers who are ready to work with more technical and interpretive layers of AstroMapping.

Teaching with Cindy McKean
I am very happy to teach this course together with Cindy McKean, whose work in AstroMapping has helped shape the way many astrologers understand and practice this field.
Our aim is to offer a course that is both technically grounded and practically useful. We want participants to leave with a clearer understanding of how predictive techniques can be integrated into AstroMapping in a responsible, ethical, and meaningful way.
We are also honoured that Carol Tebbs will join us as a guest teacher, bringing her experience and perspective to the course.

A Continuing AstroMapping Journey
For me, AstroMapping is one of the most fascinating areas of astrology because it brings together chart interpretation, geography, astronomy, prediction, and lived experience.
It helps us explore both the timing and the geography of planetary symbolism: when something may unfold, and where certain themes may become more visible, active, or meaningful.
With this course, we will continue exploring AstroMapping as a living, practical, and deeply symbolic field of study.
I look forward to meeting participants in this advanced course at Kepler College.
